Accounting, Finance and Systems

For an international financial services company, led an implementation team covering the development, testing and implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) solutions involving credit risk (provision for doubtful debts). This work involved:

  • Managing changes to multiple general ledger technolgies spanning Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Pacific, Europe and the Americas
  • Centralised management and external reporting process changes
  • Design of changes to multiple Charts of Accounts mapping to a single reporting Chart of Accounts
  • Design and testing of reporting solutions, including historical/comparison reporting, AGAAP v IFRS reporting, Opening Balance Sheet adjustments
  • Implementation tasks including training & education, communication, testing and reconciliation, business sign-off
  • Documentation of business processes and change impacts
